We are pleased to be able to once again offer camping facilities during the 2009 Hay Festival of Literature.

 

Many thanks to all who stayed with us during the festival last year despite what can only be described as challenging weather conditions. Surely we are due for a dry and warm festival this year. Fingers crossed!

As I type in late January our new toilet and shower block is under construction keeping Mick out of trouble! This new facility together with a washing up area should improve our service to you.

The price structure will remain the same as the past three years with the pitch sizes at 6m x 6m.

Full payment will be required on booking as availability will be limited.

 
Accommodation (Sorry Fully Booked)
We are offering 12 single beds in 5 rooms of 2 or 3. This is for bed with self service continental breakfast, but a more substabtial fare is available at our new breakfast bar for campers outside!
 
  • Bed £30 per night.
  • Sole use of a room rates available.
  • 3 night bookings over first weekend only
 
Camping
We provide a quiet, level and spacious campsite situated 5 minutes walk from the festival, but not too close to stop you getting a peaceful nights sleep. There are other sites in Hay for the visitors wanting a more 'Music festival' type atmosphere

We divide our paddocks up into 6 metre strips and sub divide those into 6 metre pitches. This is for your tent and car! Extra space can be bought by 1 metre strips. This is designed to give everyone their own space and those wishing to bring their portable mansions and plethora of comforts can pay for what they use!
 
  • £10 per pitch 6m x 6m.
  • £5 per head (Max 4 per pitch)
  • £2.50 for children under 16. Under 4's free
  • £5 for 1/2 pitch for just a small tent + £5 per head.
  • £2 per extra 1m strip.
  • Sorry no Caravans or large campers.
  • Site manned 24hrs a day.
  • Pets under strict conditions- Please note that dogs are NOT allowed on the festival site and we do not allow dogs to be left unattended on our campsite.
  • Departure - During busy periods please vacate your pitch by noon. Parking can be arranged for campers staying later.
  • Parking – Your pitch size allows space for any vehicles you bring. Any visitors will be asked to pay a parking charge
Sorry, but we cannot facilitate fires during the festival.
 
Authentic Crow Tipi's!

Our Tipi's are available to hire during the festival.

One is 22ft can sleep 8 and our 18ft sleeps 4-6

They come furnished with a central fire which creates a comfortable warm atmosphere.

Breakfast bar
We are going to be opening early each morning for breakfast in our open sided barn and food will be available throughout the day. We will be offering the usual tea/coffee & juices with a choice of quality local food.

  • Contact us to check availability (email preferred)
  • A booking will be reserved for 7 days whilst awaiting payment by electronic transfer or cheque.
  • Confirmation will be acknowledged on receipt of full payment.
  • Refunds will only made if cancellations are recieved more than 28 days prior to arrival.
