Canoeing

Canoeing is a deservedly popular activity with our groups, particularly short trips on the River Wye. Open topped and paddled with a single bladed paddle, canoes are stable and simple to control. It is a relaxing social way to be on the water making it as challenging as you wish. There is more to being a complete canoeist than meets the eye, but even the most novice a paddler will come away having achieved something after a day on the water with us. The sessions can be self led or guided depending on own ability.

When you get the feel for it you will soon be planning an overnight expedition which is a great way to holiday with family and friends and we will make sure you have a time to remember. It is an ideal choice for larger groups to have an exciting time together.

We offer introductory fun sessions through to structured coaching for the more experienced.

Kayaking

The River Wye is a great place to learn Kayaking and offers challenges to both the novice and to the more experienced. The river is an ideal environment for groups of all abilities.

Using modern single kayaks with a double bladed paddle you will soon realize why so many people have grown to enjoy this sport. Kayaking challenges an individual to show patience in learning new skills as well as being very good for building self-confidence.

We offer informal fun introductions to the sport through to coaching courses to BCU standards. For the more experienced paddler we can introduce you to the thrill of kayaking on white water and learning to roll, which seems to be the ambition of all newcomers to kayaking. All our sessions are guided, ensuring your safety and enjoyment
